I use a dedicated server to store my media libraries for the sake of separating my services which yields flexibility.
1. Install nfs-common
apt install nfs-common
2. Create mount point
mkdir /mnt/PlexMedia
3. Add NFS share to /etc/fstab
vim /etc/fstab
server-with-nfs-share-ip:/mnt/PlexMedia /mnt/PlexMedia nfs4 defaults,user,exec
This server will run Radar, Sonarr, and Jackett
Radarr automates your Movie downloads from public and private trackers.
Sonarr automates your TV downloads from public and private trackers.
Jackett acts as a proxy between Radarr/Sonarr and trackers.
You can do this a couple of different ways: Install the VPN client on the download server itself, or setup the VPN client on your firewall. I like to setup my VPN client(s) on my firewall for greater flexibility. (I use pfSense)
Follow this guide.
Follow this guide - use the ‘Client Config’ section, at the top.
This section is purely informational. Configure however you see fit, this is what I use.
I'm subscribed to Giganews, for Usenet server access. They also bundle VyprVPN with my subscription. $100/yr - not bad.
