This health check is to allow Netscout/Arbor TAC to validate your environment to better ensure a smooth and successful upgrade.
At the end of this guide, you will attach the health-check files to your TAC case for review by a technician.
TAC will provide the health-check utility to be run on the Sightline Leader.
Transfer the utility to the Leader
system files copy scp://ross@<my-local-machine>/home/ross/health-framework-v0.104.tar.gz.gz disk
Enter the Leader's shell, untar the utility, cd into the new directory
shell
tar xfvz health-framework-v0.104.tar.gz.gz
cd health-framework-v0.104/
Run the utility
python deploy_gather.py
You will be able to see the appliance and commands being run. Should the information be needed, you will be prompted for admin credentials for the deployment. If the TMS does not have the same credentials as the Sightline appliances, you will be prompted for the TMS credentials after failure.
Once the utility completes, transfer the new health.xlsx
and health.json
files from the Leader to your local machine and upload them to your TAC case for review by a technician.
From the Leader, issue the following commands
Create the diagnostic package
system diagnostics
Transfer the output file to your local machine for upload to your TAC case
system files copy disk:DiagFile-Arbor-SightlineSP-Leader1-NJJM.tbz2 scp://ross@192.168.5.44/home/ross/
