Distributed Polling will consist of several additional servers from the LibreNMS ‘Web-end’ server.
In the end, the LibreNMS server environment will looks something like this:
As of now (2022.08.25) you'll want to disabled (yes, DISABLE) ‘Distributed Polling’. This is because LibreNMS attempts to use memcached instead of Redis. (This clearly needs to be fixed by LibreNMS) On any one of the Redis connected nodes:
lnms config:set distributed_poller false
You can now modify several properties of each poller from the GUI. Gear → Poller → Settings
! ! IMPORTANT ! !
Also, if you want to manually assign nodes to specific poller groups, you will have to enable this again (this can also be enabled/disabled in the GUI)
